Fiji Domestic Flight Carriers
There are two Domestic Flight carriers – that serve Fiji, Fiji Link and Northern Air.
Fiji Link
Fiji Link, formerly known as Pacific Sun, is the ‘official’ domestic carrier of Fiji, offering domestic flights to twelve destinations including Suva, Nadi, Labasa, Taveuni and Kadavu; as well as regionally to the Pacific Island nations of Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Mind your weight
One issue that you should be aware of when taking a domestic flight is that the baggage limit is 15 kg. The international limit on FJ is 20 kg. Thus if you have a bag with diving gear and you’re headed off to Taveuni, you’re going to get penalized for being overweight. I really don’t know a way around this. I suggest calling the carrier, before you leave and ask them how to rectify things. I’m sure they will be able to help.

Fiji Link is headquartered in Nadi next to the Nadi International Airport, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiji Airways. Their fleet includes an ATR 72-600, ATR 42-500 and De Havilland Twin Otter aircraft.

Northern Air
Northern Air is a family owned airline with a fleet of six planes that connects the whole of Fiji to the Northern Division. Their system overlaps Fiji Link in some instances, such as Labasa and Savusavu, but their other segments go to places like Ovalau, where Fiji Link does not fly. Their fleet consists of one Britten Norman Islander, one Britten Norman Trilander BN2 and four Embraer Banderaintes.
